As I write this, many on the east coast have been affected by intense storms and needing to take cover and shelter. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
So many times, we only look at the outward storms and judge the intensity of it. It is what we see. However, so often, we overlook the storms that are going on within as we change our thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors.
This past week I finished a mastermind with my coach Suzanne Evans, and it stirred up a lot of great things and challenging things as well. Plans that I originally had were shifted, and I’m stepping up into a new game. It is creating a storm within me that is not so pleasant, but I know it won’t last long.
Many of you are stepping into that new game also. And it can feel disorienting at times. You may even physically be dizzy, nauseous, emotional, angry, and the list goes on.
When these moments happen it is a time to get clear on what is the storm raging inside of you? And how can you get help to shift it. We all know that certain things will never be the same, and it is how we decide to recreate that makes a powerful difference.
What in your business and your life are you getting the opportunity to shift? Do you need to reach out to more people as promotional partners, ask for testimonials from clients, make more sales calls, prioritize yourself on your “to do” list, get clear on your money story, ask for more support, let go of control, commit to yourself? The list goes on.
The key here is to not judge what this inner storm is for you and compare yourself to others. We all are unique individuals, and that which affects me to a great level, will not affect another. We all have learning lessons to learn and our storms will be the same. It is important though to seek outside counsel to weather these storms of ours.
You know something needs to shift. Give yourself some quiet time. Go within, and make the change. You will find that the inner storm passes quicker that way.
Monica!!!!
Absolutely loved this article and the pinpointing of feelings! I thank you from the bottom of my heart the gift you have given me to be courageous and believe in me….to feel my worth and share. I know I am moving at my pace but I cherish each moment of my journey and know and feel that what is happening is okay…whether it’s a storm at the moment or pure joy and I can’t say that I have ever been that accepting of that in my past. So to share just that alone to the world is huge! Thank you!!!!! Bonnie
