I was at the apple orchard this past weekend with my husband going through a corn maze and shot the following video.

I was planning on writing about what we do when we come to a roadblock or a dead end. Many of us want to quit, to cry, or to blame someone else. We become overwhelmed and don’t see any other way out. At those moments we need to regroup and get real quiet. For me, I go out in nature. That’s where I find my answers within.
The dead ends or roadblocks really are opportunities. In our business (as well as our life) we have a goal in mind and see where we want to be. Then we hit a dead end. And it isn’t there to stop us, it is telling us to dream again. Dream bigger, take another path. As we continue to uplevel our business and our life, the vision we had to begin with is no longer big enough. We have learned many things along the way. How to value ourselves, how to get our message out in a different way, the practical learning that comes with a business, the importance of balance in our lives, and the list goes on. So…that dead end really is telling us that it’s time to dream that bigger dream.
What stands in the way for most of us to do that? After all, it seems so easy. Right? I find this the most challenging piece my clients, as well as myself have. And it starts with one thing.
Giving ourselves permission.
Permission to live a great life. Permission to have awesome relationships. Permission to earn the money you deserve. Permission to do those things you have always dreamt of.
Permission to truly be you.
What stops you from giving yourself that permission? If you are like most service based professionals, you are so used to giving; and receiving is something you are learning. You care so much about what others think, that many times you will sacrifice your own brilliance to accommodate that. You see an opportunity to truly shine, to truly be you, and you know you deserve it. However, what will your friends think? They are not experiencing the joy that you are.
At these moments, it’s time to take account of your life. How much have you done? How much personal work have you done? What sacrifices have you made? What barriers have you crossed? How much have you expanded your comfort zone? How much have you invested in your business and self growth?
When you take time to look at it all. You will be amazed. And at that moment, it’s all about one thing.
Giving yourself permission to be you. Giving yourself permission to be seen. As the wonderful person you are, as well as the magnificent business owner you are. Until you see yourself in this light, nobody else will either.
Have fun this week giving yourself permisson to be you. Giving yourself permission to earn the money you deserve, to have the friends you crave, to make the impact on the world that you know is part of who you are.
If you know you are ready for another path, and would like some help getting there, please set up a complimentary Profit Breakthrough session with me. We can see where you are, and where you want to go. I look forward to speaking with you.
