Did you know that many types of hummingbirds fly from North to South America every year? The interesting thing is that they are not physically built for that journey. People don’t know how they truly do it. There are many more interesting facts about the hummingbird, but I will leave those for another day. Every year, the hummingbird goes on that journey of the impossible. They don’t ask “how”, they just do it. We can learn a lot from these amazing creatures.
What are some things that you can start putting in place with your business and your life? Here are a few suggestions to implement right away and work with them consistently.
Have a plan, a vision. Know where you are wanting to go, even if you don’t know “how” yet. This is where intention is so important. I read recently that 16% have goals for their lives, only 8% write them down, and 1% review them on a regular basis. Guess who the 1% are? You got it. The ones who are very successful in living their life’s purpose.
Second. Be who you are. A hummingbird doesn’t pretend to be an eagle, it just is. Get clear on who you are and what your message is.
Find sweetness in your life and bring it in. Hummingbirds go to all kinds of beautiful flowers to find its sweetness and it drinks it in and stores it for later. What sweetness are you needing to bring in? Here’s a list. Treating your body with awesome movement that you enjoy, eating well, receiving help from others, meditating, doing what you love, and the list goes on.
Many people look at these thing s as just super simple ways of being and don’t put them into action. In their business they are looking for google analytics, latest stats, the latest gadget for your business. And they forget to fill themselves up first. If there isn’t any you available to give, it will be seen in your business…..or lack there of.
I encourage you to go within and see how your routine needs to change in both your business and your relationships.
