It has taken me years to be able to write this post. I needed to heal and understand this whole issue since I too, got trapped in this cycle. As a shamanic practitioner, dream teacher, and entrepreneur who has spent way more than my 10,000 hours working with everything energy, purpose, and soul work these past 10 years (every single day), I have to admit that I was embarrassed that I got caught up in this soul trap. Thinking that business building was all about the marketing, techniques, sales, and more.
Yes, those pieces are critical in a successful business. Of equal importance (and often times even more critical) is the mindset, energy, healing, and following one’s divine soul path.
Over the past weeks, I have heard from many people who desire to delve deeper into sharing their gifts and purpose in the world. They want to uplevel their business and finally go for the visions of success they have seen in their mind for years. They keep on getting stuck in the back and forth between business and soul. As I listen to their stories, I know the potential pitfalls, the time saving ways to avoid them, and more. The two can go hand in hand.
In the coaching and business worlds, the ideas of mindfulness, soul work, destiny, purpose and energy are terms that are bantered around. Many are not qualified to do it, yet it is the popular thing and they do it anyways. They took a weekend course, or heard someone talk about it, so they think they can do it.
They dabble in the energy and can’t take people further when it’s needed and often times when it’s critical to consistent growth.
I have seen people spend $10,000 on a weekend business retreat to “break open” their fears so they can go to the next level in their business. There are amazing exercises, journaling, and powerful breakthroughs and they leave feeling brighter and lighter.
However, many don’t have the follow up that is needed with the depth of energy that was just released.
Months go by and little by little these people start to feel a bit lost, and not quite sure who they are anymore. They are not sure what they want to do. Old issues of not being good enough, shame, judgment, and scattered energy starts to show up. They continue to beat themselves up because they have not accomplished what they set out to do with their intentions and promises. They crave more soul connection, yet don’t have “time” to make it the priority it demands.
What is happening?
Those pieces of them that were opened up in that weekend transformation are still out there. Waiting to be healed, claimed, nurtured, and brought back.
It’s pieces of their soul desperately wanting to come back.
Coaches who are not trained in energy medicine oftentimes forget this piece, or conveniently think it doesn’t matter.
They are not aware that the fear they dispelled for people is still hanging out in the ethers waiting for a chance to get back in. The container hasn’t been cleared. The person isn’t completely healed.
I have seen it over and over. The belief that one weekend will solve a soul issue. The belief that you just have to barrel through and use sheer will and determination to push through.
Soul work means being able to let go of “control” of “how” things will happen. It’s about trusting that there is a divine plan out there. It can’t be pushed or wrangled by the mind. And if it is, it will rebel.
As a shamanic practitioner and dream teacher who has helped hundreds of people in this area, I see it all the time. People coming to me with confidence issues, judgment, and shame. The money isn’t coming in like they thought it would. Their relationships aren’t the greatest. They don’t know what they “REALLY” want to do anymore. They feel like a failure. They are exhausted. Brain fog is a common occurrence. Grinding away in the business is a constant way of being. They crave more spiritual experiences once they have more money and time.
When I go deep into the energy of it with these people, I see spells, trances, cords in their energy fields, lost soul parts, ancestral issues, old money contracts, power loss, boundary issues, leaky energy and more.
Somehow, they bought into certain beliefs that were force fed to them, and their energy was open to take it on.
Without a comprehensible knowledge and consistent practice of energy, most often this goes undetected until it causes a lot of damage and life just doesn’t work out how it was going.
I know because this happened to me. It has taken me years to see it, clear it, and help others to do the same.
It was my path, and a great learning I needed to experience. It was humbling, embarrassing, and ultimately liberating. I can spot illusion much quicker. I know when my mind is trying to guide me down a crazy path, and switch to my heart and soul knowing. I have learned what phrases, and old soul contracts can have me blindly going down paths that are not meant for me. I have healed childhood and ancestral issues that kept me stuck and at a crossroads.
I also have committed myself to helping others not have to go down this path that I went down. Or help others heal what they experienced so they can finally go for their soul calling in a deeper way.
What can be done about these situations? Business growth and marketing are huge components to any business. However, without the deep energetic pieces, things will ultimately fall flat. If not now, in a few years from now.
My advice. If you are a purpose driven entrepreneur or business owner and are not doing the soul work with someone qualified in energy, then it’s time to do that. With me, or someone else. Someone who has put in the years of devotion to this topic, and who has done their personal work around it as well.
Most often what we think is a business issue is really an energy one.
