At first when I ask the question, many people in business think of money. And money is a great indicator of when you are truly valuing yourself or not. When it is there, something is going right, when it isn’t then there is the time for introspection and shifting that.

Money is just the barometer to tell you if something isn’t in balance. Here are some indicators if you are being asked to look at your value. You also will find that this will come up at many different points in your business.

What kind of support do you have? Are you willing to receive it? Support takes all forms. In the home and with chores. Someone willing to listen and help with issues that come up. Support in your business so that you can do what you do best, and leave the rest to others who love those things that you do not. Do you have the support of a coach to push you past those unseen blocks that keep on troubling you. And support with the people you hang out with. Are they squashing your dreams, telling you to get a reality check, or are they your biggest cheerleaders? All of these levels of support affect the money you will make in your business.

How do you value your time? Do you go over in sessions with clients because you want to give them more? If you do that, I would ask you to look at if you do that for yourself. Most often the answer is no. Do you have time carved out just for you, and you alone? Or do you put every ounce of your time and energy into everyone else and their needs as well as the business?

How do you value money? Do you pay attention to it? Are you aware of what you have in checking, savings, on your credit cards, what is owed to you? Or do you do a ballpark guess on these areas? When you pay attention closely to your money, it responds. Just like in a relationship. The more attention you give, the more you receive. And just like a relationship it requires a lot of effort to keep the relationship flowing.

These are just a few of the ideas to consider with value. There are many more. It is important to remember that any issue with money that surfaces is a mirror reflection for you in some shape or form. The quicker you process it, the easier life is. The more flow your business has. And the more people you get to serve doing what you love best.
