These last few weeks has been a whirlwind of professional activity with all the traveling to work with my coach, Suzanne Evans, and it has been one of incredible emotional growth.   I have had more opportunities to step up into my brilliance than I have seen in a long time.  I have a long term vision for what I want in my business as well as my life.  After all, the two go hand in hand.  If something isn’t working in one, it will be reflected in the other.

With all of these great things, one would think that I have been on cloud nine and things have been perfect.  And many times I have.  However, I have a confession to make.

I have been completely exhausted many times.  Most weekends I have taken the time to eat, drink plenty of fluids, and sleep a lot!  Many people would just say it’s normal during cold and flu season.  It goes deeper than that.   Exhaustion points us to the root of it all if we are willing to dig deep enough.  The obvious is that we are doing too much, and we are not delegating enough.  We are working harder, and not smarter.

There are many reasons for that.  First is control.  Since we know how to do it so well, why would we give it to someone that might mess it up?  And inevitably if we hold that thought, it will come true.  Second is not honoring ourselves.  These are the moments when we forget to eat well, exercise, take supplements, and just plain rest.  We feel that if we do that life might pass us by, or that it is so urgent it needs to be done right now.  And that is our monkey mind taking control of us.

Those are all the surface pieces that we use to keep us from the real reason.  The root cause is that we don’t fully show up to ourselves and who we are.  We hold back in conversations to others, in how we present ourselves, and in our own self defeating mind chatter.

So, my confession is really what I have seen so much with others lately.  Not completely showing up.  It’s playing small.   And when we play small, we dim the majority of our brilliance.  And just like energy, we are not playing full out.  Thus, we are exhausted.  This is the root cause of most exhaustion.  And it is about  working smarter, and playing more, and completely showing up in your life every single day.  It’s about acknowledging your brilliance.

There is a saying that what we teach is what we are learning.  I inspire others to truly live their best life and step into their brilliance.  And I can only do that because it is what I have lived, and continue to live every single day.  And it’s taking the ups and the downs on that ride.

What do you teach that you are learning every single day?

I ask many people who they are.  Many say an artist, reiki practitioner, wellness coach, or someone in search of their dream.  The challenge of that is most of one’s life is left out of the equation.  We are more than one modality.  We are a complex combination of life experiences that have brought us to this point.  When we forget to acknowledge that, and fall into the comfortable, we become exhausted.

If you are at a point where things in your life are not quite working how you want, then check in with yourself and see where you have hidden.  If your life is rocking and rolling and you are in your groove, share that with someone else.  Help change their life.

The moment you acknowledge where you are at, all it takes is one decision.  What do you want?  I know when I answered that again just recently, my energy returned.

Life is always about learning.  That’s what’s so incredibly phenomenal about it.  Have fun stepping more into who you truly are.  The world needs you.  Your family needs you.  And most importantly you deserve to live your best life ever!

P.S.  I couldn’t resist putting in a photo of my dog.  They know how to be just naturally.  Gotta love it!  J
