What a wild ride this year has been! From deep truth telling moments, crazy synchronicities, new and wildly different perspectives to making space for our highest visions.
As I continue to step into a vision I saw years ago of leading experiential and transformational workshops, I have been hearing over and over this same phrase. It kills the magic, and robs the person clarity and even deeper transformation.
“I already know what that means. I don’t need to know any more. ”
From online forums, programs, and live workshops, I hear this constantly from smart, soulful people. They have just finished with a journey, dream, or meditation and they are satisfied with it. The answer seems so obvious to them, that the curiosity of something even greater is pushed aside.
There are moments I do that as well. When I hear those words in my head or come out of my mouth, alarm bells go off. I immediately connect with someone to give me new and intriguing perspectives. I’m left in awe every time of what was “right in front of my eyes, yet I couldn’t see it without the help of someone else.”
As smart, independent, purpose driven high achievers, we want to get on to the next thing. We think we “see” it all, and yet that is most often only 10% of the transformation available to us.
Last week I was leading a workshop and a woman shared her journey which was so amazing and had her feeling blissed out. I asked her what else she wanted to know. Her answer was common. “Well, it’s pretty clear to me. I don’t need to know anything else.”
The awesome thing about spiritual seekers is that they also are willing to go deeper if given the opportunity. I asked if she would be willing to to hear what I got from her journey.
As I spoke, I mentioned ancestors, healing, and what some images from her journey meant to me. They resonated deeply with her as well. Only days before someone had mentioned looking into family of origin pieces. She would not have found that piece without getting input from others.
As she continued to work with others in the group, the dream and the people she connected with gave her even more insight. She was experiencing the whole transformation, because she was willing to be curious.
This is just one example of at least 30 I have heard in the last two weeks. (yes, it has been that many!)
