When I say that to clients who start with me, many have a challenge with that. They get it intellectually, but have not put it in practice. For people who are working at a spiritual as well as practical level, you have to be even more vigilant in this area, and stay true to you. When you do, your intuition is spot on, your body is in peak shape, and everything flows more.
Sounds great, right? So, why don’t we do it? Most often we are stuck in patterns of having to do it how it always has been done, or the way we “think” we need to do it.
Here’s a recent example. Since the beginning of my major transformation work in 2007, I have had at least 1-3 bodywork sessions a month. I have never gone a month since without it…..until this January with all the moving, etc. Why did I quit after 6 strong years? I moved, and said that I needed a referral for a chiropractor or massage therapist. I’m quite picky and know what I need to keep my body in peak shape. In Minnesota I had awesome practitioners, and didn’t want anything less.
I wasn’t listening to Spirit.
Since February, I had passed a little clinic on Hendersonville Road (D’Ippolito Chiropractic) that jumped out to me every time I passed it. It was for chiropractic and massage therapy. I didn’t check it out. Why? I assumed I needed a referral like I have always done in the past. After 5 times of seeing it I went in. The reason…I had got myself into so much pain that I needed to do something quick.
What was the result? The chiropractors there are even more amazing than I could have ever imagined! In fact, I’m blown away with the care. After the 3rd treatment, I’m feeling better and letting go of old forms and habits. And….I have had more people calling me out of the blue to have strategy sessions with me. Also, I have even more clients coming in.
Now, to apply to you, this doesn’t have to only pertain to bodywork, although if you are working with the spiritual, I recommend monthly tune-ups. The energetics are wonderful, but your body needs to integrate on a practical level.
It also applies to how you decide to let money show up for you. Can it only come in one way? Same with clients. Are you open to other avenues? If you meet someone in a grocery store and have a conversation about something you specialize in, do you ask them to do a strategy session with them?
Our Spirit is way ahead of us, and we are given so many clues to help us. We have the opportunity to listen in a new way. In order to do that, you get to let go of how you used to do it.
Much like my awesome chiropractor’s office that popped up for me. When I finally listened, my life changed. I didn’t need to suffer….I just needed to listen. And that’s what it is all about. Living life to the fullest, and serving others to the max. It doesn’t get any better than that.
