The power to speak your truth is a muscle and it takes work. Many times it isn’t as glamorous or exciting. The sales calls, networking, speaking opportunities. It is what is avoided so often in a business because people want the big prize. And yes, there is a great destination for everyone, and if you haven’t fully developed the muscles and who you are, it will fall flat.
I have seen many women speak about wanting to empower big groups of people and are not in power in their own homes. I know that one deeply, because that was me not so long ago.
There are others who want to be on stage talking to thousands, and will not pick up the phone to do a sales call one on one for fear of rejection. Again, I know, because I was one of them.
There are others who wait to have just the right connection with someone before they offer their services. They never seem to get to the right moment of offering their most transformational services when people are desperately in need of them. I know, because I was one also.
The power to speak your truth is to own who you are at the core. Is to admit where you came from, and NEVER let someone else experience something you have if at all possible.
It comes from each individual interaction. From the ability to face your fears and blast through them. To pick up the phone even if it feels like 100 pounds. To clean up personal situations even when it is uncomfortable. To realize that it is about patience and going one by one to get to where you see yourself going.
The power to speak your truth is not given freely. It is earned.
I promise you one thing. When you do this…you will not recognize your life because you will be living your dream instead of just chasing it.
