I have been hearing the phrase over and over from people that they would love to do something, but maybe they will do it next time. People who are interested, and yet ask, “Will you offer it again?” Many times there isn’t a next time. It’s about living now and taking those uncomfortable leaps.
There is a phrase that says, “the way you do anything, is the way you do everything”. So, when you are constantly waiting for the right moment, how is that showing up in your life? Are you waiting for your life to begin at a level you know is in your highest interest?
And many of us do it in many different ways and intensities. One thing that really hit home for me is when my mom was checked into emergency with an eye problem. When I spoke with her, she said, when I get out of here, I’m going to start painting right away. That is her incredible gift, and she gets to see it from a whole new light. She is getting the medicine she needs and this crisis has provided an opportunity to claim more of her incredible artistic talents.
I know that I also have had moments that I literally had my back against the wall and needed to change. I also knew I didn’t want to live that way. I would rather create the change instead of it happening to me.
Where in your life have you been waiting? Waiting for your kids to graduate before you follow your passion? Waiting for that next raise to make a bit more money before starting to expand your business on the side? Waiting for someone else to change so that you can continue to rock with what you are meant to do? Waiting for the money to show up? Waiting for you to feel like doing something? Waiting for it to be easier?
Waiting literally drains you. As opportunities pass you by, you wonder if that is the right time or not. When you go for it, take a chance, and do the work, miracles happen. It’s only when we tell the Universe that we are done waiting, and ready to step into the magnificence of who we are that things move. The Universe rewards those that take action.
Will you be one of them?
