Continued from previous post on When I Lost Pieces of My Soul to My Business.

As we grow up, get more serious, become an adult and live life, there are pieces of us that go missing.  Our magical child, the rebel, the mystic, the world changer.  It happens so slowly until one day we realize we aren’t truly living.  Life isn’t how we had envisioned it.  The sparkle, fun and magic somehow disappeared.   We feel listless, have brain fog, get distracted, little accidents and crazy things happen, and we have less passion in life.

We had let the “practical side” override our soul wisdom.

Every decision we make or do not make changes the trajectory of our life. When we live on autopilot, we may find ourselves going down paths that represent old stories, and a loop of repeating patterns.  Relationships that end the same way.  Businesses that never quite take off.  Subtle sabotage patterns.  Desire unfulfilled.

Just when we think we are destined to live in this holding pattern, something happens to wake us up.  It might be an accident, loss of job, health crisis, sinking feeling that won’t go away, an intuitive knowing.  It grabs our attention to tell us there is something more to see.

For me, it was my blood pressure that had skyrocketed 20 points, and a sinking feeling that the business path I was on would not only bankrupt me, but more importantly, it would bankrupt my soul.

Where do those lost pieces of ourselves go and what are they feeling or thinking?

Missing pieces go into the multi dimensions of existence.  We might call them parallel realities, different time periods, underground safe places, or more.  This is the realm of the shaman, who can see these worlds and lost pieces and is trained to bring them back for people once they have made space for them.

However, we ALL have access to these worlds right now.  It’s called the Dreamtime, where the invisible becomes visible. It’s between sleep and awake.  Dreams are portals into other dimensions where we access past, future, or parallel realities (where we made different decisions in life).

What most of us fail to understand is that those soul pieces want to reunite with us just as much as we want to find them.

They tend to be more persistent, creative, and determined.  They don’t follow the practical route of the mind.  They know that the only way to return  is to awaken the person to their purpose and heart’s desire.

I had a crash course in this process when months after leaving my old business, I find myself living in a “haunted house” that would awaken me to much more than I could ever imagine.  It would test me beyond limits I didn’t know I had.  Was I slowly going crazy, or was I finally being liberated from an old existence?
