As a young girl I would sit at my grandma’s dining room table with her special fountain pen and copy the Greek alphabet, as well as Egyptian hieroglyphics from her cherished encyclopedias of ancient knowledge. They fascinated me because they looked so foreign and elegant, and I wanted to know what they meant. The power of ancient knowledge, at that young age, captured me, and that fascination has followed me throughout my life. I wanted to be an archeologist at the ancient ruins. I started studying Spanish at age 12 in the 70’s when nobody spoke it in Minnesota. I taught Spanish at the University of Minnesota and taught for over 21 years. I entered the spiritual realm of the shamans and learned more and studied intensively about ancient cultures and ones inner self.
I find myself now going back to my childhood with the incredible fascination of a foreign language. However, this time it is the language of the soul — your essence, your passion, your mission. The language that to many is foreign and elegant. I love to work with people to uncover their own language because that is the key to who they are. When they unlock the code, they step into their passion. When they step into their passion and embody it, they create the life of their dreams and the business/career of their dreams.
All my life people tell me how they want to learn a foreign language, but they are too old to learn. I know that isn’t true. The same goes with your soul-your passion, your purpose, your mission, your dream. I know how to teach you that language. However, you must want to learn it with every fiber of your being.
We have heard over and over again that what we have learned in our lives is what we are here to teach other people. We are not as effective teaching others that which we have not lived. I have lived in so many different worlds and understand the viewpoints of so many others. I love to act as a bridge to help the disconnect that happens at times within oneself as well as with actions with others. I have lived the conventional non-spiritual life, I was introduced to spirituality and energy medicine at age 35. I understand the spiritual community and lived it. I have lived equally in the suburbs and the cities. Have had dinner with the hobos and the business leaders. I hear the messages of the environmentalists. I understand the Hispanic world and the world of the U.S. I hear the language of power and the heart. I understand the challenges of the world of the day job and the business. The new generation in their 20’s and those after 40. I understand the world of construction and fine art. The shamans and the allopathic doctors. I have walked, lived, and been accepted in all these worlds. And it all boils down to one reason…..I know how to speak the language of the inner self, the soul, the essence. And really, we ALL have that ability.
