You are just on the verge of a breakthrough, but oh wait, that can’t happen. The new job is right in front of you, but it must be for someone else. The production company for your product is just too good to be true. That potential romantic interest just might not be “the one”.
Why do we argue for our limitations and cut off the energy before we even have time to see what happens?
It keeps us safe and protected. We feel we control the outcome more. In one sense we do. When we decide to buy into the negative scenario, it has been given even more power of coming true.
For people who are high achievers and get a lot done, there is a need to be protective and have everything work out according to “plan”. As people who also are purpose driven, this plan is also co-created with Source, to have our highest interest in mind.
As we get ready for 2020, we are beginning to feel this energy of planning, getting things done, work, having it go our way, foundations, health and yes…control.
Control is what happens in the mind. The soul doesn’t know that concept. It knows ease, grace, divine timing, full expression, vulnerability and the perfect path for each person.
In this society we live in, it is much more acceptable and comfortable to look at the negative, to share all our fears of being rejected, to dumb down our dreams, to dim our light. When we do, people around us feel safer. They don’t have to take those risks, or put all their feelings on the line.
What is forfeited when one lives this way?
The ability to truly live a vibrant and miraculous life.
We might not get what we “think” we want. We might have to take interesting paths to get to our heart’s desire. However, when we decide to truly shine, ask for the gig, let the person know how we feel, put out to others our bigger dreams, then we are living our bigger and bolder life. What doesn’t serve or work becomes a blip on our screen of life instead of years of turmoil and control.
We move on and we move up.
